Hi Guys, Ive been handed my bosses phone which has been through the full cycle on his washing machine, Ive stripped it down as per the guides and it looks like theres green rust/corrosion on some of the PCB, is it possible to attempt to clean this, or is it a dead duck?

Its been dried out, but Ive tried it and theres nothing.

Are the parts any good, or do you think the whole lot is goosed.

I will try to post pics if that help.
cheers

If the thing has been throughly dried, you may try to switch the thing on...but chances are slim. Are stuff like these covered by any kind of warranty at ur end?

In my job I have to try and repair laptops that liquids have had the better of them. The thing that has probably done it in is the salts in the washing powder and the heat. If there is corrosion on the circuitry that doesn't gently scrap away you will need a new PCB.

I think you answered your own question with the last post, you can try drop it for a repair under warranty, but as soon as they open it up they will know whats up and not do it.
