Question about the K800i |

Just a quick question, i just got my sim free unbranded k800i from a guy on ebay this morning. Absolutely love the phone as it reminds me of my w810i, in that its extremely easy to get to grips with.
But one little thing that is bothering me and thats the flight mode function. It seems to me that if you press the power button on top, it comes up with a menu but in that menu there is no option for quickly switching into flight mode.
So unless im missing something it seems the only way to get into flight mode is by turning the phone on and off physically...surely that doesnt seem right does it??.
Anyone have any ideas, i wouldnt be surprised if thats the way you have to do it...just seems like a bit of a headache really. Otherwise i love this phone, fantastic piece of kit and wicked camera. |

you are correct.
while the symbian have the option to switch in and out of flight mode, the non symbian phones don't and a full off and on seems to be the only way

Go to the settings, somehere there is a flight mode menu choice. You have two options (a) The phone asks each time it is turned on (b) It does not ask, and flight mode is off. Your phone is probabli set in the mode not to ask. A wish for improvements of the firmware is to be able to turn fligtmode on or off without having to turn the phone off and on again. |

No what masseur has said is correct, the only way it can be done is by turning the phone on or off... Its not reall that big a deal, it does your phone good to be switche don and off now and then apparently. Also, who knows in the future, might include an option in the phone whilst its on...
Cheers

Thanks Masseur, seems thats the way it is. Just checked my w810i and its the same on there.
Oh well not a big deal but would have been nice to have it on that menu...maybe a firmware fix could incorporate this. |
