Ok I debranded my K800i from 3G and I am much happier however one thing sucks - now I can't do those music video downloads for 99p and can't access My 3 page - is there a way around this? Must be?

Try going to the SE website and to their Phone Setup section (under Support I think). You can download network specific files there and they will be sent direct to your phone. Worked for Orange World and my now gloriously debranded Orange K800i.....

Ok I'll try that - Eh so much nice better debranded. Specifically for 3, I just hate the look of 3 interfaces

Did you mean the WAP and MMS settings from the official website of Sony? Use those?

Then they give you a PIN and you get a message etc etc???

That what you meant?

Well I used those settings and they got sent to my Phone and shit but when I go to the menu it's the same -

The internet icon for example takes me to the Google Hompage with Sony written at the top. I can't see the My 3 icon or link

Thats because the de-branding took off the stuff that 3 had originally put on the phone. Once they are gone, there is no way of getting them back unless you send it back for another replacement.

The same happens with Vodafone de-branded phones. All the stuff in the portal is redirected to the "generic" version. That's the disadvantage of debranding and there is nothing that can be done.
As far as I know the phone-type (software version etc.) is detected by the operators wap-sites. And so the generic phones get different content than the branded ones and some services are not available at all. That way they try to push their branding stuff.

If you go to Settings - Communication - Internet settings - Internet Profiles, highlight your selected profile and press more, select Advanced and select change startpage, you should specify the address to 3's portal there, and it will appear when you press the internet button. Since I do not have a 3-brabded phone, nor a 3 subscription, I don't know the address. Someone else who has maybe can help you.

(The menu choices may be somewhat different than what I wrote, I simply translated the swedish labels while I wrote this)
