K800i - Deleting e-mail from my server |

I've just upgraded from a K750i to a K800i and have retained broadly the same e-mail settings to connect with my office SMTP server
Althogh I could mark a message for deletion on the K750 to keep my inbox tidy I could elect in settings to leave the message on my server for future actioning, but can't find this option on the K800 - to my cost as I've ended up losing messages that I was going to deal with in the office rather than on the phone
To make matters worse the messages were permanently deleted from the server - not even put into deleted items
Can anyone help ? | |

POP or IMAP? My K800i has not, as far as I know, deleted anything on the IMAP server yet.

Is this a gmail account by any chance? There is a known problem with gmail and check interval but it doesn't match the description you give very well.
