anybody who owns a 7210, what does your phone say on the back of it? where was it made. I have seen phones that say Made in Finland and some that say Mady by Nokia, so what Made by Nokia means and where do you think those were made? please respond. thanx.

Made by nokia's are usually from the far east. The ones made in europe are country specific, like made in finland, germany, etc

so made by nokia, means it is something like china and stuff, okay thanx a lot for the info, tell me please if you know of any difference between the country specific ones and these asian handsets, what about build quality and all that? thanx in advance,,,
One more thing do you know if there is any way to determine the country of origin by the imei number...

okay i understand now, but are there any differencies among the european and chinese handsets (despite the language pack) any difference in build quality, what is more reliable, european or chinese, any info on quality will be extremely useful to me...

Made by Nokia is mainly for the asian market and the headset is made in Korea..Regarding the build quality difference..i feel that those made in Finland have a better build quality and are very tightly assembled together and the phone feels more solid compared to those made in Korea..other then that there is basically no difference except the support for asian languages

Actually there should be no difference in Quality. I've used for example some 3210s, made in Germany and made by Nokia... No difference in quality.. The one from Germany had more problems compared to the made by Nokia.
However, all the different factories are using their own raw materials (as far as they can). So a Chinese nokia is mostly made from Chinese raw materials.
Nowadays most of the Cheap Nokias are Made By Nokia...

I was worried that my 7210 wouldnt be firm considering the xpresson covers .. but when i now hold it in my hand i notice that it is even firmer than my former T68!! |

crap i got the one saying made by nokia, i am not happy just with this fact, the phone is fine, but the thing bothers me, i guess i am too articulate, i was shopping for a month in order to get the sweedish t68i and i fell like a loser here, i am returning it and buying the one that says made in finland.... thanx for all your feedback. appreciate it.
