First you need to make sure your email provider supports POP or IMAP. If there is no free POP/IMAP access, you might be able to pay extra for some kind of "premium" service that includes it.

Another option is to get a free email account on one of the free email providers out there - such as for instance www.vfemail.net

Note that you will still have to pay for the actual data traffic. Normal rates apply - check with your mobile operator first!

You should take a look at some of the other threads on this forum about gmail.

Basically you need to

- download and install two certificates
- make sure your encryption settings are correct
- make you have entered your username and password twice, once for incoming and once for the outgoing server

Check out my mini-HOWTO at http://orka.mine.nu/pub/gmail/ it should get you started.

Good luck!

Good thing about the certificates. I managed without them but I had to accept the transfer ever time. Now that is fixed.

U can go to sony website and enter info that phone needs to email and sony will send u the data via sms to install. U will need a msn account or your ISP account details, email address, logon passwords etc 4 it to work. Ok on my k750 tho never tried to read my emails thro phone just to send data. Which is sent via phone number when sent!!
