There will be no real way of increasing heap memory in the phone. If you look at Palmone's Tungsten T2 for example, it has a heap memory of 800k. There are programs for it that "increase" that. All these programs do is run in the background and allocate storage memory to programs that request heap memory (effectively intercepting the applications call for heap memory and providing it with storage memory and making the application think it is heap memory).

Obviously, you cannot get applications like that for the K750 so the only thing you can do is turn the phone off and on to clear as much heap memory as possible.

As far as I know heap memory is volatile memory. Thus it has nothing to do with the internal phone memory or any external memory cards.

If I am right on this one then you probably can not increase the heap memory without replacing the volatile memory chip.

Why is it so obvious you cannot do that on the K750? I mean, it was done on the Palm devices, so why couldn't it be done on the K750 and other SE phones?

Because you can get SDK's (Software Development Kits) for the Palm OS and its a little bit more complex than the standard SE phone OS. There are no special programming tools available for the SE phone OS like there are for things like Palm OS and Windows Mobile. The only SE phones you'd be able to do things like that on are the ones running the Symbian OS.
