Should I sell my very slightly faulty W800i and get a W810i? (now got W810i - thoughts on it) |

I know this question's been asked before, but it has a slight difference for me, perhaps making the upgrade worth it:
My W800i, which started life as a K750i many moons ago has a slight fault, which I'm finding is quite annoying. I think it's a symptom of the conversion but whenever you unplug the handsfree the phone doesn't realise that it's been unplugged and stays in handsfree mode. Even when manually selecting 'normal' profile the speaker/mic remain cut off, needing the phone to be rebooted.
OK, it's a relatively small fault but rather annoying I found recently when listining to the radio, then having to reboot to make a call without the hands free in.
Basically, I have some money in my Paypal account, and if I sell this phone or a K750i I've just fixed (though it's joystick's a little unresponsive at times) I should have enough cash for a W810i. Is it worth my while doing this? Or can the handsfree bug be sorted easily?
Either that or would someone be interested in a p/ex deal involving either one of the above phones (Both boxed with accessories, though the W800's in a K750 box) and cash on top for a W810i?

Mate,u need faster internet get w810,dont need it - have your firmware re-installed or upgraded from a service center and the problem will be solved. |

Don't think a service centre would touch it as it's been modified, and not confident enough to try myself!

Its easy to reflash the software and there is no need to worry s you can not completely kiil the phone via a flash gone wrong. If you wanted, i could do it for you if you pay for postage both ways and a small fee or someone could do it free for you?

Might talk to gregface, he recently did a K750i for me for very little, see if he can reflash the phone and get rid of this problem!

I'm thinking more along the lines of getting the W810i now, though due to a cock up on Paypal's part I now have £50 less in my account than I thought, basically I transferred some money to my account, did it twice so have taken the other amount of of my PP account! Bit more selling required I think!

Well, I've done the deed and bought a W810i! I'll post here (or maybe start a new thread) on if it was worth it or not

I've just bought an 2gb memory stick pro duo sandisk for 59 dollars in my visit to the US, it works perfectly in my w800, so not only the w810 has up to 2gb memory cards...
