T68 problems... |

So, everyone's going on about how great the T68 is, but I've had a few problems with it... the battery time is only 2 days, the guy in the shop told me it's supposed to be 2 weeks. Is this true? Also the phone has turned itself off a few times...
When going in the the phonebook, all the names were strange looking symbols and then turned back to normal again...
The T9 is SO SLOW, it would be quicker to send a posting pidgeon...
It is generally quite slow in everything...
I DO really like it, but these things disturb me a little, are they ONLY on my phone or have many of you experienced the same kind of things? Will it run faster after an update? I have software version R1B...

Hi arroyootje!
It's not true that the battery will last for 2 weeks, for me it's 2 days so I charge my phone every other day, thats normal. I never heared a phone with 2 weeks battery life before. If you keep on having that problem, there's something wrong with ur unit u must bring that back to your vendor and have it replaced, or probably try to have a software upgrade. U shouldn't be encountering that bugs.

havent had much of a problem with my T68....
yah, the T9 is slow... so i just go manual typing... (it's even faster but harsh on the keypads....)
my phone hung up two times now (of 2 weeks being with me...), but note that mine is still R1A....
i want to upgrade to R2A but i guess it hasnt reached Philippine shores yet...
yeah, the battery lasts 1-2 days, normal use....
if you dont use it at all.... it might last for weeks.... true....
my friend's 8310's batt lasted for 7 days... on pure standby...
ours might even last longer...

In retrospect, the T68i was a phone way ahead of its time, so inevitably the bugs were expected.
All in all, it still is a classic phone albeit slow. |

Why bring a three and a half year old thread alive by posting some pointless information like that? |

I'm sorry, but I could not resist the temptation to say something about a phone that brings back nostalgic feelings. Why not lock the thread if you do not want to read my comments on old phones.
@alexlt: I didn't realise there was a trophy to be won by the highest poster on Esato.
