Will SE release another antenna/flip phone? What do you think?
Seems like T39m is the last of that breed. Now every release looks more and more like Nokia.
I'll stick with my good old T39m then. |

They wonīt come with more antenna flip phones when they startet to make the se phones they kicked out the designers who designed the "old" phones.
They started on a new line of phones and got new designers for the new phones.

If you look at the Japanese market the number of flip phones far outnumbers 'normal' handsets.
The reason? It is the best way to put a big screen on a phone whilst keeping the size down. As we move toward 3G big screens are necessary to really make the most of the services it provides.
I suspect the SE and all other manufacturers will release flip phones, eg.
Sharp GX-10
Panasonic GD-87
SEs has 3G flip phones on the market in Japan for 6 months now. |

Iīve read that the european market prefer none-flip-phones, and the japanese market prefer the otherway round. So I guess itīs a matter of taste. Ofcourse, their will always be exceptional case. But I geuss that the manufactors main prior isnīt to satisfy all, but the mass. |

They have to make a flip phone just like Samsung, Motorola... But not with the very thin flip, just for covering the keypad...

Personally I have always preferred non-flip phones, but if you want to take advantage of camera phones etc. you need a nice big screen (I am sorry but T68i/Communicam is crap - thats why I returned my communicam straight away).
There are only two ways to have a big screen on a phone
1) Make the whole phone a screen (e.g. P800)
2) Make a flip phone (e.g. Sharp GX-10)
I think the reason that the Japanese prefer flip phones is that i-Mode has provided rich graphics and photos much longer than in the European market. |
