I just recievd a K800 as an upgrade from o2. It came with a new sim card.
The phone works fine with my old sim card. But says SIM inactive with the new sim card.
I thought nothing of it and carried on using the old sim card.... I thought again after reading a few posts here.
To use 3G you need to active your new SIM card. Do this by phoning O2: o2 contact details.
It took a mere 5 minutes on the phone and I will keep my old number. The new SIM will become active in 24 - 48 hours (or something like that) and the old SIM will deativate (so carry your new SIM with you for a couple of days, just incase).
Hope this helps.

yeah you have to call them to activate it - they said to me it would take up to 2 hours
i turned off and then back on my phone after about an hour of calling them and it had been activated so might have even activated in much less than an hour

Weird question here, but here goes ;D
I got a k800i from my bro, who didnt want it, i have an o2 contract and i rang them asking them for a 3g sim. I recieved the sim today, can someone tell me what it says on the sim pack. Mine just says GSM? Will that be the wrong kinda sim they have sent or?
Thanks

yes its the wrong one, on the blue side of the simcard holder it says 3G not GSM (if its a 3G one etc), it also says 3GD2 at the end of the simcard serial number to double check |

Can you let me know if you experience any problems sending more than a 1 page text when you are using GSM & 3G please. |
