Hi,
can anyone tell me how to set up delivery reports of text messages on my K800? I'm sure that I've looked through all the settings.
Cheers

Thanks.
I can see a delivery/read report option in the picture messaging section of the options but not for text messaging. |

What network are you on? Some networks don't support delivery reports, and others require you to put a little code at the start of the text to get a report, e.g. with my O2-UK contract I have to put '*0#' at the start of the text.

you might be missing seeing it because its off the bottom of the screen so you have to scroll down in the text message settings

I've tried scrolling down but still can't see it.
I'm on 3 network but using an O2 k800 handset which probably doesn't help!
I'll try inputting that text first & see what happens |

Nope...*0# doesn't work either.
maybe you're right and you can't get text message reports on the 3 network.
Thanks anyway |

Best thing to do is to ring them and ask them, worst they can say is no they dont support delivery reports. |

Cheers Spawn.
i am trying to avoid ringing 3 though. I spoke to them about a week ago to ask why I could send MMS's...they said it was because it was on O2 handset...and it's againstv the T&C's of my contract to use my 3 sim in a non 3 phone. They went on to say that I won't be able to use the phone for long as their systems will detect it & car my sim card.
I'm hoping they were just trying to scare me! |

3 do support delivery messages because I receive then on my LGU880, therefore I don't see why they would remove the option. The option is definately there on my o2 K800 (Messages > Settings > Text Messages > Delivery Report > On)

Ive heard the same thing as well from a few friends, i dont think they are trying to scare you...they will disconnect you if you are found to be using their sim cards in a non 3 phone. States quite clearly in their T&C's that you must use a 3 handset.
Tbh your better off going to another network, 3 also dont allow you to browse the internet unless its through their portal..too many restrictions for my liking. Excellent price plans i will admit but their T&C's completely put me off them. |

They do if you put the *0# in front of your text, but not if you tried activating del reports from your phones menu, it only works with that prefix

Hi @aminator
When i use O2 i find it easier to put *0#_ (where _ is a space) as a template - I then shortcut to the template menu instead of write new - that will prefix every new message with *#0 pain i know but it is only one extra click and then you get your delivery receipt
