Hi from NZ!!! Not sure if anyone can confirm this one or not but people are talking at varsity about a new flip SE that has a really cool luminescent screen like the sony mp3 player. They said it lights up on the cover of the flip when its closed. Apparently they saw a woman who said she works for SE in NZ so if she really does, it must have been a SE phone. Anyone else seen this before? SE has pulled out of NZ according to local stores here so maybe they want to use this to come back?? We only have phones a year old for sale here - sad if you want another SE as I love flips and still have my Z600. Hope this one is for real.

Sorry about the 3 posts - got a message stating password was incorrect so didn't realise the message was posted... I didn't finish my message as I have to borrow a comp. Better buy a comp before a new ph i think! This ph was seen about a month or so ago, and the guys wouldn't go and speak to the woman who had it for some reason - they just overheard she worked for SE so it may not be for real. If anyone hears anything more about it would appreciate it. Cheers Joe

you probably meant clamshells -- SE flips are only the P series.

Hi Kiwijoe, welcome to esato

When you say illuminescent screen, do you mean like the flush screen like on the Sony MP3 players?

That would be cool as a secondary screen. I don't see why Sony doesn't lend that particular feature to handsets.

Seems like the new phone to me! I'll be really happy if this is it. And with the flush screen thing, it'd be really cool in slider form for SE, just like the Chocolate in a way.
