For those times I don't want to lug around my W810i... I need a phone that is/has

  • pocketable
  • uses 850 MHz and 1900 MHz bands (tri- or quad- band preferable)
  • supported in Apple OS X's iSync
  • not discontinued
  • great reception
  • good battery life

I very much like the K510a, but have no idea where to get one

I can get a brand new, unlocked T637 for about $140 (shipped) on eBay. It's a lot of money for an old phone, though, and the UI between it and the W810i is rather disimilar.

Well the W810 is pocketable, is it not?

What do you want, a phone the size of a postage stamp?

The W810i is already a small compact fone, a bit smaller than the K750/W800 I surmise ....

Coming from a RAZR - no, it's not.

The K510a would work, since it's only 3mm thicker than the V3/V3i. Ditto for the T637.

Not to mention, I want a lower-end phone for those times I don't want to b a gadget geek

So the question is, do I shell out for the T637, or wait for the K510a, which may never arrive?

Well if you're desperate, you could just get the T637 now as the K510a may never arrive. But that's only if you're desperate for a back up phone, otherwise, just wait.

I now have a T637 on order, $100 new in box. I couldn't take it any more...

1) My W810i repair is taking forever and a day! FedEx's tracking shows has had it in their posession all week, but the RMA system still indicates it hasn't yet been received

2) I'm limping along on a miserable Motorola V551, which is maddening at best
