Hi

If you're not already aware of this amazing game, then have a look @: http://www.getjar.com/products/2229/FreeFlight

It is stated in the specifications that a min of 1.5MB heap memeory is needed. According to the official SE website, the SE K750i DOES has 1.5MB heap memory ("Heap size: 512 kB - 1.5 MB (dynamic, depending on available memory)"). So, shouldn't FreeFlight not then work on this phone with it's high-performance 3D JAVA engine?

When I run FreeFlight, it says the application uses too much memory . I have about 26MB free phone memory, with 60MB free on the memory stick. It looks as though people with the the K700i and W800i have it working - these models both have the same heap memeory spec's of the K750i. You can check this place to see this same info to confirm: http://developer.sonyericsson[....]s/phonegallery/k750/p_k750.jsp

Here are the reviews by SE people on GetJar who apparently played FreeFlight:

"[10/10 on June 26, 2006] Mati from Poland, Warszawa, using Sony Ericsson K700i
A great game
Flight Simulator for your mobile
Dziêki CD- Action za link:)
Thx Cd - Action for the link
Real fun for me, a 13year old guy "

and

"10/10 on March 31, 2006] maick (maick_52(at)yahoo.com) from mexico, using sony ericsson k700i"

and

"[10/10 on May 22, 2006] Rhino666 from Hungary, using Sony Ericsson w800i
Runs fine, but I had to reboot the phone before I could run the application (because of the "uses too much memory" error)."

Whats going on? What can one do?

Help is greatly appreciated.
Best Regards

someone in howard forums has reported it doesnt work on their w800...

it seems to be working on some models, and not others. As the heap memory on a k750 varies (dynamic) depending on availible memory, would it be more likely to run with a 512mb or something memory stick put in the phone(i use 64mb)?

Hi

Please tell me if u were using a memory card, if u downloaded it or used a cable, where you installed it to, how much memory was on your phone, if u had to restart it to make the game work, and if u have any idea why it began displaying those messages [eg maybe seus was the prob].

do you think if i used a 2gb or 512 or something memory stick, it would inc heap and the game would work?

would firmware updates be capable of solving the prob?

I'm running the game on a d750i converted to w800i software with a 256Mb card with no problems...(R1A008 sw version)

Try reinstalling.....
