I'm wondering if the k800 is made of plastic like the k610 and w900?
Dont they make phones with metalframes anymore? The w800 got a quite thick metalframe, while the more expensive w900 is all about plastic, no metalframe at all. Does this affect the durability/lifespan at all?

i'm sure that the durability of the phone would be increased with metal when dropped etc. as plastic would be more likely to crack/break, and metal would just deform. Im dissapointed that has high end expensive phones, and wont put a quality feeling case on them. metal feels nicer to me, like my k750i's keypad surround, which is nice and sturdy, as oposed ot old t630. Also, meatl doesnt get dreaky after a while, which is good...

The problem with metal is that it sheilds off radiowaves and thus it's hard to engineer a phone with a metal enclosure as well as good reception.

Also, AFAIK the w800 was all plastic...

Didnt w800 have a metalframe?
Strange that they build the k750/w800 with metal and not the w900...

I have nothing against plastic. Its just that I used a N72 yesterday, and it gave a very very durable feel indeed. Side by side comparison clearly showed W800 to be quite fragile.

correct, the w800 and k750 were a bit squeaky, creaky. The w810 felt better and the w900 was a really well built phone. The k800i has a great finish too.

k750 and w800 ARE PLASTIC!
