maybe the sim is just loose try to remove it and put it back again. most of the sometimes that fixes the problem.

It's because it's a 3G sim card, it will not work in a 2G phone, simple as that.

Since your phone is not a umts phone it does not support 3g networks. Thats why you get the message insert sim

@thegreatone

That's correct but that is the operator 3 who dont wanna have their cards in 2g phones.

I have tried "3" sims in 2G phones before and they do not work. I have tried 3G sims from O2 and Vodafone and they work perfectly in 2G phones.

Operator 3 WONTS to let thier people use 2G network .. cause they rent the capacity from other operators .. but the 3G network is thier own !! this is the problem for operator 3 ..

Other 3G Sim cards which are NOT belongs to 3 OPERATOR works well .. i have 3G Tele2 Comviq in Sweden and i can use it in all phones .. 2G or 3G .. without problems .. the only 1 thing which is different, when you put your 3G sim card into a 2G phone, the searching for Network will take abit longer time than normal 2G (GSM) Sim card ..
