I got my first P990 about 16 days (Sept 13th) ago. With Bill and Warranty it cost about Rs. 35K. Anyway the first phone was defective. it would re boot at will, even while charging. So 3 days later SE sent me a second phone. This one hangs at will. Most times it will hang when I open the camera lens. It has gone back to SE's repair centers 3 times but the issues still remain (hanging phone, very low speaker volume, loose keypad, etc..). Now SE claims that by Wednesday (October 4th) if they cant fix this phone I might be offered a 3rd piece.
BTW when I did a master reset I find I not only loose all my data (address book) but also most of the ringtones the phone had when it came.
SE's service in Mumbai (I have tried 3 places Tardeo, Lamington Road and Andheri) is poor. I would advise waiting till the service guys actually get used to the phone before asking for help. Of course by then the phone will be obsolete.

The phone sync's with Outlook. I really wish they allowed other (non MS) PIMs such as Lotus or even Palm to be used but I guess one can live with this limitation. Outlook is very visus prone so make sure you have a good anti-virus installed. |
