FAR Master Reset Problem |

After using FAR Manager to mod all aspects of my K750i (Camera, Acoustic, Thinner Font, SMS Capacity, removal of content hooks, adjustment of sound files, removal of protected files, etc), I find that doing a Master Reset (Reset All) causes the phone to stop working correctly upon reboot.
Upon close inspection with FAR I've learnt that 'layout.xml' is being deleted by the phone each time a Reset All is performed, and no matter how many of my original backup up files I restore, I can't seem to change this behaviour!
Does anyone please know what I might do, or which file in particular should be edited to stop the phone doing this whenever a Rest All is performed?
The only way to bring the phone back is to go back into FAR and recopy layout.xml over!
This probably isn't the best hidden surprise to leave in a phone about to be given to someone else.
I did read of this issue once before without finding a clear solution. I'm hoping now that we've all had a bit more time to play with FAR, there might be some more options open to us. Relying on you experts! Cheers!

I'm currently attempting deleting everything in the FS folder using FAR, and then I'll re-copy my backed-up files back accross.
To make sure there are no odd files of mine floating around in the firmware.
I'm hoping we can find a solution with FAR because at this moment a Firmware Upgrade is not on the cards, nor am I certain it would fix the problem either.

Here's a starting point at least:
If selling the phone and not wanting to risk this glitch rearing it's ugly head, remove the 'Reset All' option from the menu, by editing menu.ml, and simply removing:
Code:
|
<element id=\"Settings_MasterReset_ResetAll_Id\">
<label type=\"name\" textid=\"RESET_ALL_TXT\"/>
<label type=\"helptext\" textid=\"RESET_ALL_HLP\"/>
<link type=\"internal\"/>
</element>

In the end I justbought some more logs from Da Vinci, visited work to download the new firmware (broadband, not dial-up!) and then snuck back in using FAR to make some small alterations and got the heck out of there!
It probably went amiss with all the continued changes - just a few modifications didn't seem to make a difference.
