I have just got my self a K800i on the 3 Network and was wondering if there is any way of getting it unlocked? Ive rang 3 and they said it would be £15 + an extra £420 to have it unlocked by them CRAZY!!
I normally have my phones dual sim and its bugging me with this being locked. If any one can help or point me in the right direction I would be most grateful. Thank Guys.

I don't think it can be unlocked at the moment. Google for unlocking and check what the major players say.
I can not help wondering, if it is so important for you to have an unlocked phone, why did you buy a locked one in the first place, and without first making sure that someone can unlock it for you?

Locked or branded handsets are significantly cheaper than standard models.
Da Vinci support firmware flashing of the K800, so in turn I would be almost certain they support unlocking of the K800.

Yes, but if it is vital that the phone is not locked it might be a good idea to either buy an unlocked phone, or at least check that it can be unlocked before buying it, or so I would think.

| No they are not. At least not in Sweden. Sure, you pay like 1 SEK for the phone but you have to pay more than the price of the phone in raised monthly fees. I doubt that the it's different in other countries. I made money buying it on the internet (non-branded and unlocked) and use my old contract, pretty much I might add. |

it's not possible yet, and may not be for 1 week or 1 month+. I am sure a way will be found as it can be unlocked just a matter of time. |
