ive just set up the internet/modem via usb on the computer. Ive turned the usb internet to "on" in the connectivity tab, when ever i connect it to the computer now it has the symbol to show that im connected to the net. So its all working fine.
what i want to know is this, by using the internet via the usb cable/computer on your phone, will my network charge me for internet usage or is it using my computer internet account, in other words, is it free on the phone?
ive tried looking in the manual, but cant find it anywhere, so if anyone can help, id appreciate it.

I'm pretty sure it is using your phone as a modem, ie. you will be charged for the data.

I'd imagine you'd need to speak to your service provider.
I'm using my K800i with my T-Mobile simcard in the UK. There are two data services available:
Web N Walk: for internet use ON your fone.
an
Web N Walk Pro: for internet use on your fone AND usage as a modem for a computer as well. Has 2 GB fair usage policy limit as well.
I'm on the latter, so I can use my fone and Powerbook whilst away for work. |

If you are still being charged for your mobile data usage, wouldn't it make more sense and be more elegant to use the BT connection and forget the cable?
