Why do you hate Nokia? |

It's not a multiple choice question or anything, I'm just curious.
If you visit a Nokia forum you won't find anyone slagging (Motorola gets kicking some times, but even that's not common).
Why so much "Nokia = Puke"?
What if I wake up one day and *this* is my real life? |

because they seem to copy ideas from SE, and then make commercials in which they announce it's all new... |

i will give you my reason this may apply to others:
i hate nokia because i have owned many before only to find:
1.they dont work (i have had 6 x 7110's! 12x 6210's! replaced )
2. the nokia service system is poor
3. they are replaced with a better model within 3 months of you buying the handset
4. they are slow to adopt new techonlogies and when they do they release it without proper testing |

I don't hate Nokia's phones. I just believe that Nokia has for sure poor after sales marketing and excpetional good sales marketing and promotion.
The building quality of all Nokia phones is poor compared to 's phones.
Taking appart some software bugs, it happens very often to have hardware fails with nokia phones.
When was hitting the market with T68, Nokia offered the poor 8310. No comparison at all!!!
Too many models without clear differences between the models.
Nokia's 7650 is not a hi tech phone as it is promoted. Its a big ugly thing (not a phone, not a pda not anything) lucking too many things compared to P800 or even compared to T68.

i don't hate nokia at all, as for the build quality it is not bad, who told you that, i owed about 10 different nokias and the only problem i ever had was with my 8890, the screen got bad after a year of usage... overall their build is great, still have my 8290 and i had it for 2 years now as a back up, this phone never fails.... nokia is good, but SE is great...

and will you people stop comparing 7210s or other PHONES to the p800, it is not out first of all and it is a pda phone hybrid, has nothing in common with neither 7210 nor t68i or any other phone, and i mean phone,... the only thing compared to it is 7650, which came out half a year ago, and now all you obssesed P800 people, will have to wait for another half a year to get your hands on P800, who knows what nokia will have by then, moreover going back to the quality issue, why do you guys disregard those posts where people say that they turn on the T68I and it dies and all that, there are many problems with the t68i as with any other product on the market, they could be deffective, keep this in mind....

mds sorry but are you ok?
how do you use a phone incorrectly?
i use phones day in day out
i had both software and hardware glitches with the following models
7110
6210
8310
6510
and the 9210
the ericsson+ , panasonic and benefon units i have owned have never never been problematic (with the exeception of the t68-t68i upgrade)
The fact is i have real world problems with nokia and this has made me quite literaly hate them.
if you were constantly let down by a company you would dislike them and not use their products.
your welcome to disagree but i wouldnt do it by insulting me. |

Yes i am okay, i don't know how different people use their phones that is why i ask, some try pretty weird stuff that is not intended, but excuse me i did not mean any offense, however having trouble with all nokia phones sounds out of the line, and i mean how is it possible to keep changing 12 phones and they all have problems? is that what you are saying, than the odds are high, with me having around 10 nokia handsets and not having a single problem with any of them only twice( the screen on my 8890 started flickering after a year, and a vibrator on my 8210 stoped working because of dust it accumulated after a 1.5 years, so i took it to SP , 5 MINS LATER IT WAS BACK AN WORKING...) so my point is that is sounds untrue that you would have to exchange 12 phones in a row, most importantly same model....

Yeah I can't understand that if SE users hate Nokia so much and think SE makes the best quality phones why knock Nokia if your opinion is SE is better fine but why throw insults at the other manufacturer just because they don't like those phones.

maybe its just me then
but at my old work place it was my job to order phones 500 at a time for office users
over 250 nokia 7110's were replaced due to software problems
i think with me was my loyalty to nokia and them consistantly letting me down maybe i should have rotated brands more often |

my first two phones were nokia made, i had some random brands in the middle, and now i'm using the SE T68i. there's very little you can physically say about why nokia sucks more than a pornstar, but just everything seems so flaky and cheap. all my nokia's fall apart, break easily, all my friends' nokia phones were crappy, i've used about 20 nokias in total (about 7 completely different models) and they all are so cheaply made and put together it drives me crazy. The user interface is shitty and confusing and sometimes boggy when you have the infared on. everyone i know completely agrees that nokia pretty much is the scum of all cell phones. the only reason they exist is to give the soccer moms a cheap way to get calls made. |
