Belkin / Tecom Low Signal Level |

Installed the Tecom software cited elsewhere with a Belkin Bluetooth adapter. Is it normal for the signal level indicator to always indicate a low signal level?
Independent of the range between my T68i and the Belkin adapter the host PC’s reported signal level is always two green dots (or bars). I know that the T68i is operating correctly given that connections to a BT headset are more or less maximum range. The Belkin adapter is new out of the box. Thus either it is the software or a defective adapter.

Right click on the service in My Bluetooth Places and select status. The status window contains a signal strength meter. |

Was there an answer to the signal strength problem as I am having exactly the same problem with the same equipment? My BT 200 bluetooth headset works great with my phone , but my belkin adaptor, connects but the signal strength is weak no matter where I move it or the phone.

@ Mwep,
Plus you need to right click on a service that has been turned on/connected (and is highlighted in green) because otherwise it won't show a signal strength. So just turn on one of the Virtual serial ports and check the status of that |

No there was never a resolution to the problem cited. Without regard to other posts here the signal strength always is at two bars (too weak) no matter what the range is between the phone and the adapter.
I believe that this is an incompatibility between the TECOM software and the Belkin adapter as the usable range is quite large. In some ways I'm glad is just works.
