Yeah, anyone know if/when T-Mobile offering K800??
K800 IS my next phone, but after being with Orange for 9 years, I've finally had it with their outdated tariff offers and attitude (i.e. feck-you) toward existing loyal customers.
I think that for a while now, T-Mobile seems to be demonstrating the sort of approach Orange shook the market up with all those years ago - innovation (tariffs & pricing) and genuine, helpful attitude to customers.
Well, stuff Orange, I'm voting with my feet. Well, at least I will be when T-Mobile release K800 !! |

K800i was released by T-Mobile on Saturday but has limited stock. The only brandin is the T-Mobile logo where Cybershot was on the front under the screen & the Web n Walk icon on the menu instead of the globe! Interestin add on is Mobile TV!

Hi Tom
Thanks for the pics - looks like T-Mobile have done a much better job that Orange if all they've done is change the sticker and 'PlayNow' to T-Zones. I take it that in standby all the normal SE options on the softkeys are displayed?
Can I also ask - where did you manage to buy your phone from? I've been looking on T-Mobile UK's own site (along with e2save, CPW, mobilechecker) and can't find it anywhere. A couple of places list it but at some extortionate price (seems like they're just providing the phone unofficially but on a T-Mob contract).
Cheers

I got mine from cpw, but i work there.
The phone is largely generic, just a bit of icon tweaking and its locked.
Remote update service has been removed.

Got mine on T-Mobile (just phoned for an upgraded, ordered 27-7 and recived 28-7.)
Naturally it has a T-Mobile theme as standard, the T-Mobile badge below the screen and a wnw icon on the main menu. The mobile TV feature isn't yet supported for the handset though.
Being a 3G handset means I get a 4 or 5 bar signal though out my house, unlike the T630 and D750's "Select Network" message appearing on screen all the time, which is good
Works fine with my Parrot CK3100 car kit too (paired in K750 mode though, not tried it in normal mode)
The power charger is neat too - you can connect a headset or USB cable to the charger and then the charger to the phone to use them simultainiously (shame i've already got a dock) |

cool! Did they give you a free upgrade? I'm phoning on Monday.
I'm still wondering about a branded phone if the SEUS feature is disabled? |

I'm sure he means the UPDATE SOFTWARE on the phone itself (Settings> General> Update Service) has been removed. You should still be able to use SEUS on a PC to update, as and when T-Mobile themselve approve firmware for it. |
