Hello,

Can anybody tell me if is it at all possible to repair a W800 that appears to be dead? It won't power on after flashing to R1AA008 and consequently I cannot reflash it.

I am new to this, I had successfully unlocked and then flashed it but it didn't seem "right" to me so I flashed it again with the aforementioned result.

I would welcome any advice...

If you did it by software i'm sure you can revive it.

Which program are you using for flashing? [addsig]

Hello and thanks for replying.

Krubach, I thought that too, but it's honestly been trying my patience! I used the cracked version of SeTool2. I had given up on it as it wasn't responding, but since I posted my question, I plugged it into my pc using the USB cable it came with and after 5 or 10 minutes it lit up and began flashing a white screen. The pc is making the usual sound you hear when you connect or disconnect a USB device. It seems there is life in it yet. Fixing it is another matter! I am getting a pop up message that a USB device has malfunctioned and that Windows doesn't recognise it. As I'm typing this, it has just stopped and for all intensive purposes, it is dead again.

QVGA, the answer to your question is, .....yes! Too many horror flicks and expensive phones!

Thanks,

Michael

you have what is called a blinking phone, that is when the white screen apears again and again, try unlocking the phone again in setool cracked, this might fix your problem, if not PM me and il see what I can do.

If the phone is dead again, take the battery out for a couple of minutes and try again.

hope this helps.

Hello Greg,

MSN seems to be down at the minute, as I cannot sign in at all, but since the phone is now at least charging, I will give it a while to build up and then try to flash it again.

Fingers crossed...

Thanks,

Michael
