scotchgitt, when i had the n80 i installed an autolock application and it was terrible, it locked when i was writing a text message if i paused for a bit, and had to unlock it everytime i used the music player cos it autolocked as it assumes the phone is not in use, this is supposed to be 'smart', it ain't that smart in my eyes.

This is only my opinion, always will be, think my love affair (6 years) with nokia is finally over, se's are so finished

design? are you serious? that rectangular block that SE keeps on recycling is seriously getting old now.

Yeah QVGA your 'anti-SE' comments are getting old now....

How does music quality/ability and also video playback (not record) quality/ability compare between the K800, N80 and N90?

Just wondered...

Atleast make a point. Sliding brick? What on earth does that mean? If thats a sliding brick then whats a D600? Whats a 6270? And most of all, whats a W900?
I hate it when people just make up names and blurt them out.

If by brick you mean correct in proportions, and rectangular, then yes! What else can a slider be? Star shaped??

stop flamin or i will start too ...

i simpily don't like the phone (hate it allong with 80% of peeps here) and i compare it to what it resembels best .... a BRICK

no a slider doesn't have to look like a dildo or what you sayd there but this phone has the looks of a BRICK .

BTW: the d600 has a shape at least !! the n80 has 8 coners ... THAT'S ALL

BTW2: W900 if you look really closely (use your glasses if you have to ... ) IS A SWIVEL !!!!

Both fones are a load of crap!I tried the n80 a month ago and it worked like shit, restarted every half hour. Used the k800 yesterday, the build quality is so poor the last thing i want to do is hold it in my hand. so my verdict to both of em !

You are clearly a man of knowledge!! not...

Well,i was just being honest.Everytime i pressed the buttons or used the stick on the k800 i could hear creaky noises as if it were about to break and the n80....well forget about it!
@kippax:
I'd saY - if you are buying these fones just for the cam - LEAVE EM BOTH!Because in both of these if one takes good pics it takes shitty videos, and if one has a good video shoot, the pics are so poor that u'd actually have doubts over wether its really a 3mp.mY advise-ignore both of these until something that combines both good picture and quality video comes along, maybe the n93's the answer to that- till then go and buy a cannon or sumthing!!

im agreeing with QVGA on nokia
i think they are quality and if u dont like their size its ur problem
as he sed w900 is a brick
i also own an se and i have to say its quite backward now teachnologywise with nokia
but since nokia are advance in technology they have to make their handsets bigger which i can handledno bout u but i think w900 is bigger than n80

I would have a K800i over an overpriced N80 anyday. The K800i is just a better Mobile phone in general. When you get your hands on the N80 and slide the phone it looks like its going to fall apart with all the plasticy bits.

If you want a smarphone an xda or an imate have good functions or even when the SE P990i is released buy that. Even the functions on a P800 are more convinient as a smartphone than that of a N80 i don't see how you can press numbers 1-9 to type documents. (edit I forgot that there was an M600 but that doesnt count as its got no camera )

If you want a very good Camera Phone that takes photos in all types of enviroments buy a K800i its very handy and you dont look silly taking pictures with a mobile phone as it looks like a cybershot digi camera.

If you want a good phone in general the K800i is a very convinient phone, build is good and is aesthetically spot on and very smart. As an Mp3 player this is very useable and entertaining and although they dropped the beefier mega bass elements from the previous SE models sound output is not hollowy or tinny through the standard earphones.

If you after a commercial phone then its the Nokia N80.

The main features i have pointed out outweigh preference between the two puts the hammer to the nails head.
