Hi there, Ive sussed how to use the k800i as a 3g modem via usb cable, read the 3 uk pdf manual which only tells you how to set up the mobile networking wizard via cable.
I would like to connect via bluetooth, but when i go on the wizard it says select modem but it says sony ericsson bluetooth modem 039 is not installed, it also says "bluetooth modem" is installed but that might be my PC as itdoes not do anything.
Any advice please. |

I think the first thing you have to do is to configure the services you'll be using on the K800 in your PC's Bluetooth manager. You should see dial-up service available and should configure it, that in theory should setup an available modem you can select in your dial-up networking (PC). From there, IF the setup is the same as for GPRS, you should just dial *99# and that [i]should[/] connect to the phone and initiate network connection through it. IF you have multiple network profiles on the phone, you might have to put some extra settings in the dial up string to address the proper profile (something like *1***99# for the 1st profile but not 100% sure).
Hope this is of some help, but again - I'm basing it on how to setup a SE K750 as a bluetooth modem for its GPRS. |
