Recurrent appointments in T68i |

Does anyone knows how to setup recurrent appointments in T68i? I was told that T68m was capable of this...
By the way, my T68i has the R2E006 firmware.
Thanks in advance! |

Desktop > 7 > 3 > 2 then enter the time then use the asterisk to select the days you want the alarm to be set. |

Sorry, it seems I didn't explained well. My question was about setting up recurrent appointments in the calendar (like birthdays, anniversaries, etc)... It's a bit frustating needing to manually delay an appointment for one year everytime a birthday comes.
The strange thing about it it's that older T68m's support this feature. Just use the T68m emulator on homepage and setup a new appointment: the last popup states you to select recurrency (every week, every year,...)
Please, could someone who owns a more recent firmware than mine (R2E006) confirm if this has been already fixed?

I forgot to comment that under the "Text labels" option of the hidden Service Menu you can still find these labels: "Every day", "Monthly", "Every 2 weeks", "Every week", "Every year", "Recurrent Appointment"...
seems to have just disabled this feature, but why?
Any comments appreciated! |

Confirmed... It's not anymore in any recent firmware. I wonder why they had dropped such an useful function....
Thanks for your time, jcpsad |

Well, there's no real need of this implemented on the phone...
You can do it perfectly well using Outlook for instance and then they are showed as separate appointments, that the way I did with my classes for the whole semester!

I think Ericsson drops functions like this to keep selling their PDA's.
The absence of address fields in the phonebook is another indication that it might be a strategic decision... The t68m is a bit too simple for it to really replace my Psion 3. With a better recurring appointment function and address fields in the phonebook who needs a PDA? Not me..

@ro.BIN
If it’s a strategic decision, they are totally wrong. As a result of such a decision, in my case, will make me buy as soon as I can the new Siemens S55 to replace my T68m, just to have the address fields and a better agenda…
