Hey, as you read in the title, the new K800i was just delivered to my doorstep. I love the phone! Much smaller than I thought it would be.

Well, I have a problem...the manual is written in German so I'm not sure what it's saying. I do not have a sim card yet but want to play around with the interface, etc. Can I not do this or something??? I can't even access the camera. All I get when I start up is "Please insert SIM card or first watch the demo".....but how do I get past this??

Thanks

Do you not have ANY sim card at all you could use with it? Remember you don't need the 3G one to use most of the features.

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I just ran down to the T-Mobile store and got a cheap 20 euro prepaid sim. Everything's fine now and let me tell you...this phone is the neatest gadget I've ever had!

I'll be travelling a lot between the UK, US and Germany so I wanted to wait off on getting a contract.

Mine didn't either.

Speaking about my phone, I'm actually quite happy with the onboard memory. The screen is absolutely beautiful. Of course this is just the first day so who knows what I'll discover as time goes on.

The flash is awesome, the resolution is awesome, the design of this phone is wonderful and it fits perfectly into my hands. The purple lighting is really cool. Of course the functionality of this phone is exceptional! Very pleased with my purchase right now.

Why should it come with a 3G sim-card? The sim-card is dependent of the contract provider.

Or did you mean the you bought it branded?

you don't have to buy a branded phone to get a sim card, you merely have to buy it on a new contract.

the phone itself could be unbranded, even on a contract
