I read a thread that said the steady cam was only activated in certain settings. However i now can't find the thread.

Does anyone know which settings the steadycam is activated in?

It can be activated in low light settings.

This is because when snaps are taken in low light, the exposure time is longer and as a result a blurred picture is more likely.

well on my K800 the image stabilizer pops up as an option on scene selection modes, twilight landscape, landscape and beach/snow... if that helps!
