I was using Opera Mini, and it locked up (happened a couple of times before) but this time I decided to delete the file using the file manager on my computer because it was still connected by bluetooth - now I think when it starts up it keeps trying to start up that file, because that was what was running when I turned it off.

The phone starts up, gets to the first page, loads bluetooth, sometimes finds the carrier, then goes into the flashing white screen for about 20 or 30 seconds, then tries to startup again and does the same thing. When it starts up, it works like usual for about 5 to 10 seconds. So far I have tried turning off bluetooth, running the camera, recording a sound, going through applications (not enough time) and doing a master reset (not enough time) but nothing will stop it from shutting down.

MY QUESTION: can you phone geniuses think of any way to override the phone trying to load up the deleted program when it starts?

Also it seems to me that I have to flash it (have ordered the DSS-25). Is it possible to recover the pictures etc I had saved on the phone before flashing the firmware?

Bonus question - I have been trying out the RDM Remote Desktop for Mobiles program but I am not on a network, so my computer doesn't have an IP to connect to (even when I manually entered one in) so I can't use RDM locally. Other than plugging into a network, is there a trick for WinXP to make it show an IP when the network cable is unplugged?

(Have tried searching forums)

Well I answered my bonus question for myself, how to create a loopback plug. It is under the 'Extras' section, number 2.

This would be quite useful for folks with a single computer trying to use Remote Desktop for Mobiles, and I guess alot of the folks with problems trying to use it locally don't even realise they don't have an IP address without having something plugged into their network card.

Anyway if anyone else can help out with my other questions above that would be great - THANKS!

Well I ended up having to flash my phone via Davinci with new firmware (Seus upgraded firmware but still had WSOD), and since I have my provider's internet settings don't work. I have contacted the provider, got them to resend the details and also manually entered them but they still don't work. Is it possible that I have installed firmware from another country that are not compatable with the internet settings?
