I recently got a k800 which i thought was going to be a great successor to the mighty K750, but having lived with it for a couple of weeks now im a bit disappointed with the camera, its just doesnt produce the same quality pics as the k750!! Has anyone else found this?

Between 2 and 3.2 mp isnt that much difference, mainly at the size itself

No i previsouly did not own the k750, but i do believe the camera in the k800 is better than the one in the k750. Maybe you could post some of the pics u've taken with the k750 and we could compare them. If you play with the settings in the k800 camera you will find you can take some amazing shots, provided you do it right.. lol

I have had a K750I for a year, this week upgraded to a K800, The Camera is a ton better. Only problem i have now is the flash, however brill it is for the job of a camera, it dont help me in the dark as it can't stay on like the LED's on the K750i,

With the K800i, if you play with the settings, select the correct modes for the picture you want to take and it's ace.

Anyone else have problems with focusing using the macro setting. It likes to focus at first, but i find it very difficult to get the focus to stay on the subject... If i do it 5 or 10 times it eventually will, but more often that not it focuses on the background in the end. I'm finding it very annoying (maybe it's my fault??)....

When it works, the picture quality is fantastic though!

IMHO the different with 3.2MP and 2.0MP are noticable on camera phone but its another story for Digital Camera.. so, i would say that k800i camera are slightly better than k750i (if only we can crack and remove the noises that appear on the picture thingy, the picture on k750i definately stands out )

op

Try to take the pics in same size with those two phones

You will notice, as for same pic size, K800 is really better in quality

If you test both with max size, then it will be pretty much the same
I kept on farting......

Just so that I know, we are talking about PHONES that have camera's right? Not the other way around? We are talking about a device that is designed to make phone calls primarily and play music, take pictures as an additional selling point? The key not to believe the marketing hype. They want to sell new phones with "new"features. Of course they are going to make it sound wonderful and even better, however as Boba said there is very little difference between 2 mp and 3.2. Surly nothing worth debating.
*edited on a Mac of course. Mac: There is no substitute*

N82(YES), iPhone 3G, Shure es530, Nikon D300, more stuff. No more SE stuff, why am I still here?

It isn't just the difference in the picture quality (the K750i is after all brilliant for 2 megapixels) but the other features, like lots of preset modes that make a difference, spot metering, BestPic, Xenon flash.

This is what moves the game on.. and the fact the screen is a lot nicer and viewable in bright sunlight (thanks to the reflective bit behind it). It, basically, operates like a normal camera.

My only complaint about the camera is that it can be hard to activate it when you want to take a photo quickly. If you're not on the standby screen, it won't always start up when you open the lens cover. A firmware update could fix this of course!
