Hi, I have just received my k800i, which is very impressive! only one silly niggle for me, which is the icons on the menu. As i have my fone on orange, the icons n the menu are all boring looking, and not bright and colourful, like those on other k800i's. Is there any way that these can be changed? They do not change when the theme is altered.

Well my man, there is, but only if you're feeling preety confident with your phone/PC.
Unfortunatly themes don't actually change icons, just wallpapers, stuff like that. You're suffering from a branded phone, which most people have unless you're on O2 or purchase SIM free.
Anyway, if you look for WOTANSERVER ,they can debrnad your phone for around £4.50, but it can be dangerous. Although, I haven't heard of too many disappointed people.
By doing the above, you will get all the standard icons, and I've heard people comment that the phone runs faster is some instances. You'll also be able to get updates before anybody else.

I actually did unbrand my Orange K800i trough WOTANSERVER.com .
It was a breeze. I confirm it will cost you something but you will not have any problems (I didn't have any).
All the icons are now gone and my phone is back to being an phone 
Once I installed the unbranded software, my phone downloaded the settings from the operator (MMS, UMTS, GPRS and so on).
You will lose all data in the phone (contacts, games pics) so make sure you sync it before doing the unbranding.
Sync will not be a problem, all contacts "went back " to my phone instantly.
