just recieved my k800 today, on o2 £25mth 12mth contract free phone.
Graet looking phone, luv it, BUT.

1) Does anyone know how to put the light on when using the video funvtion like the K750i i press star key to turn light on and off. Video pretty useless without light option.
Flash excellent for still pics though.

2) Video dont look as good as K750i, Its on big scrren but even when you watch it in normal mode from your camera folder it looks same if not slightly worse than K750i. What s the best settings to take a pic?

3) when taking pics, great quality, but on view finder movements seem a little delayed to K750i, ie try wiggling your finger in front off the screen.

4) switching my contract i think as aint had it a day yet and t mobile offering asda collegues half price 12mths contracts.
the only thing that major lets the phone down is the video, shame.

1) You can't, the phone doesn't have a "light function"

what a shame.no more night videos.night mode no good on videos, the light made my K750i vids look great can it be done with a external light? how many frames per sec is K750i and K800i? any diffrence? really shame aint Mp4 record. could this be fixed in future firmware, or is it because the flash is sensitive and delicat?

The K750I had 2 super bright white leds for the camera light & torch feature.

The K800I uses a xenon flash, You cannot use it as a torch, It would burn out but thats not before killing the battery.

So K800I is no good for taking video, Shooting video in the dark or using as a torch.

Hope its replacment is better when it comes out.

So the K750I does have some good things going for it.

I would say the best VIDEO capture phone is the Nokia N93 as it seems to be geared more towards video then photo's. But it costs more then the N73. I don't know how good the LED's are on Nokia's though, anyone with an N80 care to say?
You will have to get on with Nokia's Symbian OS as well for there phones. I think there easy to use but haven't tried the newer models.
Or wait for the P990 if you want 3G and good video taking on an SE phone but again it has Symbian OS.

Think the handycam phone is still in the rumour stage at the mo.
Haven't got a clue about Nokia's, all I know about them is I don't like them.

N93 will be twice the size and twice the price of the k800i. W900i has great video capture and has good led for video light. You can also bed a proper flash to it.
