Hi,

I have a SonyEricsson P800 and I like to take notes with it. I could get a SonyEricsson W810i from Orange at low prices. Is it really better than the P800 or must I still wait for new phones ?

Thanks for your help,

Christophe

Your talking about 2 completly different styles of phones, if you like the p800 only for taking nothes then I pressume your still wanting a touch screen phone for the handwriting recognision, you'll find it extely difficult to go back to using buttons instead of writing with the stylus. See if you can upgrade to a better phone in the P-series or wait for the P990

well I wondered about that, but the way he's said "like to take notes with it" theres no real difference in how you makes notes on the k800 and the w810

Thanks for the advices. In fact, I never used a phone to take notes before the P800 and I am afraid you're right it would be difficult to go back using buttons.

Is the P-serie the only smartphones to use handwriting recognition ? It seems phone companies market their phones with all kind of multimedia features but forget about the practical ones (taking notes on the fly or use the agenda effectively).

The M600 also has handwriting recognition I think, and so will the W950.

yes I know, it was mart89 who thought he meant k800 to which I corrected (he's since edited his post)

Yes M600 does have handwriting recognision, purely upto you if you want to get that or wait for the P990
