So I checked out the Vodafone k800 (I can only really upgrade my work contract with them) and, as is usual with our brilliant networks in the UK, Vodafone have decided to customise the stock model. As far as I can tell there are firmware differences (easily removed by Wotan) and then call/hangup buttons instead of web/shortcut, a bit more difficult to remove.
Still, it's not as bad as it was last year with the K750i. But, however poo that was, many here eventually figured out how to get an unbranded K750i out of Vodafone direct anyway, by using a special stock code (http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=98584#post1347077).
So my question is this: have Vodafone done the same this time around? Or have they settled on introducing just enough customisation to not justify a separate, unbranded, model?
Does anyone here know the stock code for the branded K800?
