Japan's docomo have announced that they will develop a water based micro fuel cell for mobile phones.

The easily portable recharger can charge a handset several times, and the recharging time is approximately the same as an AC adapter.

I think it's a pretty clever idea though. Charging when you don't have a powerpoint sounds OK.
