Sony Ericsson W810i finally number one (according to Krusell)
The Swedish manufacturer of carrying cases for portable electronics, Krusell, has released their "Top 10"-list for June 2006.
After three consecutive months on top of this list, Motorola RaZr V3/V3i/V3c has to leave its top position to the new number one, the Sony Ericsson W810i. The list is based upon the number of pieces of model specific mobile and smart phone cases that have been ordered from Krusell during June 2006. Krusell's list is unique due to the fact that it reflects the sales of phones on six continents and in more than 50 countries around the globe.

I have to say I'm surprised that K750 does not figure in there because I know no one with a W810 and a matching krusell but I no many many people with K750 nice protected by a krusell

I am actually really surprised to see the W810 outselling the K750/W800i?D750 combined!
And outselling the whole of the Moto V3x range too. |

Well this is just a list for june 2006, not a total list! And with the K750/W800/D750 being 1 year old, they still sell like mad! |

It has also leapt from 4th position to 1st position which would indicate a very steep jump in sales - globally. |

go go! RAZRs had been like the most popular phone here in my country, but has been taking its place lately.

The RAZR has sold 50m units worldwide, but the Walkman range has reached 10m.
I obviously see mostly RAZRs (and everyone that has one, including myself, thinks they're cr*p - yet the style wins over at the end of the day for them).
W800s are commonplace, followed by the K750 and then the W810. Haven't seen many K800s, but the point is that it's more likely to be a Sony Ericsson than a Nokia if someone has a new phone. This suggests people are changing loyalty to Sony Ericsson and we'll see a further shift in market share in the next 6-12 months.
The new 'bread and butter' Nokia is the 6233. It's the model that Nokia expect to sell the most of, probably to businesses, and they'll be pushing it heavily (with Vodafone pushing the 6234) this autumn.
