what are you talking about?... they have just refreshed their whole lineup the t600 instead of t66, the t300 to partially substitute t68i and the t200, t100 is coming, i guess their main priority is p800 and they don't seem to be dealing with it well enough, so their next step is to optimize it and f*****g release it already, otherwise people will get frustrated... so the next step is P800, as i see it.

SE is mostly concetrating on perfecting the GPRS and GSM service/software for all the client users at the corporations that carry their phones with service. Mostly AT&T is having a huge dilemma with the whole satelite bull$hit; my account has already been going though some major problems. As far as hardware-wise, I have a friend who interns for SE (resource department) who's good friends with a chairman, and he says nothing BIG for the next 6 months, maybe some minor upgrades available, and some more official faceplates for the T68 series. no one really knows for now. |

that's my point too... no reason for new stuff, they just released a lot of new stuff and there is even more stuff that has been announced but not yet released, so gotta deal with that first.

You said Ericsson and Sony Ericsson. I thought that they operate as one company now. Did you mean to imply they are still 2 seperate companys and yet they have a joint one together as well SE? I never really understood the arangment they had together 100%. Please shed some light on this for me. Thanks. |

I heard is planning on integrating GPS in their phones. Imagine a P800 with GPS capabilities, maps... But of course that will probably only happen in P900 or even later.

Sony and Ericsson combined their mobile telephone departments and created Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications. It is owned 50/50 by the two and employ around 2000 people I think.
So there are three companies. |

Here are my GUESSES as to what the Spec of the new phones will be..
T700
Straight (CandyBar) handset.
65K TFT
310K Integrated Camera
GPRS
MMS (MP4 SUPPORT for Video clips w/ sound.)
GPS (Global Positioning System)
40 (32+8 wavetable) poly ringtones
Java
Bluetooth
<115 G Weight
T900
Clamshell handset.
262K TFT internal screen
310K Integrated Camera
GPRS
MMS
JAVA
40 (32+8 wavetable) poly ringtones
4,096 colour External Display (for shooting video clips with handset closed)
Mobile Light?
Memory Stick Duo Slot
<120 G weight
These are just guesses, but none of these specifications are beyond .
All these features have been integrated into Japanese/South Korean handsets, and can be the only way for to claw their way back into the game from fifth place.
However much it is wanted by people on this forum, a Phone/PDA (P800) combo is not going to do it.

There is just this one little concern called costs. |
