I work for o2 as a retailer and I just wanted to see what you guys/girls think of the new tariffs o2 offer from their stores ? ie long weekends, meaning you only pay for your calls 4 days a week and Sat,Sun,Mon calls are free up to a maximum of 2000 mins a month.

Also they have increased the number of minutes you get for your money, for example £35 p/m used to get you 250 mins + 100 texts per month for 12 months whereas now £35 p/m gets you 400 mins p/m +100 text or (18 months) gives you 600 mins + 100texts p/m

I think they are very competitive with the rest of the high street, they could have bundled some more texts per month though imho. Thoughts...

yeah, the store does mainly cater for voice more than text tariffs, although o2 are looking at integrating the online tariffs through our tills, online does cater more for texters, I dont know why we compete against ourselves like this, its obscene. you can always ask for a retention deal to match online or youwill walk away and 9/10 they will give it to you

@aminator
Is the long weekend thing only for new customers or do existing customers automatically get it as well?

open to existing customers too who opt for a qualifying tariff, which are better than the old ones anyway but can only be changed at upgrade time
