right got my new k800i phone through post besides the fact the camera lens cover is quite loose.

on the phone there is a video of some one recording what appears to be a test video on the desk u see a keboard with a sim card pair of gloves old t68 mobile and a womens voices saying testing 1,2,3

and my phone has made a high pitched whistleing sound twice now and the only way to stop it is take battery out.

so my question is could this phone be a recon phone hence the test video left on phone anyone else found this?

I don't have the test video you speak of, and I personally have not had the problem with the whistle that you mention, perhaps it is just a faulty handset or even a refurb like you suggested? I would contact the seller straight away mate.

@ solidius1983: Hummm, did you purchased as new contract or PAYG? You should get a brand new phone not a reconditioned/refrubished one! If that is the case, then i would demand from Orange Direct to replace it with a brand new one or claim it as "faulty" for them to replace it preferlywith a test video.

it seems that the people at orange also like new toys

to the people on orange with the vid , please post it somewhere here and contact orange as your new unused phone is already used to some content .

So it wasn't used, or second-hand or messed with. End of story.
PS: I find it rather strange for you not to recognize a video-clip. Where do you live? Do you watch TV at home?!

Its just interesting to see what your phone has been up to before you've owned it.

Thats one of the things i love about buying second hand Nokia S60 handsets, you can guarantee that the previous owner wont have had a clue about what their phone is actually capable of (being a smartphone), and by installing an app like FExplorer, you can often find hidden videos, pictures, sms and other items hidden deep inside its file structure.

I once bought a second hand Nokia, and found hundreds of SMS and a few pictures and videos still inside it which the owner thought they'd deleted prior to sale.

etaab it's evil . My friend found a k750i in park while it was raining, the screen was dead, but memory stick was working . So i plugged it into my phone, and could see some photos and videos. To my surprise there were photos showing a baby about ~1year old, later i watched the videos, and guess what! That guy had about 10 porn movies on the memory stick ^^
