I didnt have that problem when I upgraded my T68m to the i nor did I have it before. I havent heard of anyone in here complain of this problem either. I would say its either your handset and you should bring it bavk to SE SP to be looked at and repaired if necessary or it happens to be on 1 cell site that your hitting and thats why you have the problem.
Have you used the phone in various locations while you were out and had the same problem? If so I would say bring it back to the service center.
BTW welcome to easto

happens on some phones... a little bug that sometimes lowers the volume on the mic to a very low level... often this can be fixed by running a mic volume reset on the phone (this can only be done by a servicepoint)

After my first upgrade the mic actually didn't work at all! I don't know if they broke it or not, but it worked the evening before and it didn't the evening of the day I upgraded. I didn't drop it or anything so I can't say exactly what happened. I just took it back and they changed the mic for free.

Well guys i have a different sort of problem...Whenever i talk on the headset for a long time suddenly the persons voice sounds like a robort but the person can hear me normaly..then when i hang up and call back immediately its okay...this problem only happens when i talk for long period of time...short duration i dont have this problem...
Had this problem in couple my previous t28s so i guess its common among some ericsson phones...

I have had a similar problem with my T68m that I upgraded to T68i. I could be talking to someone and all of the sudden the person I talk to doesn't hear my voice or anything at all. Could happen anytime and then when I try to call the person again they don't hear me at all. Then all of the sudden it works fine. Neither SE or the place I had it upgraded knew what was wrong. However, odd as it seems to be, it hasn't happened in about a month so I kept my phone and hope it won't come back.

I am tired of new phones always having bugs. I wish they could test them thoroughly before they start selling them. Since the P800 is taking so long to be released I hope it has been going through massive testing.
