i ripped open one of my free sims and put it in my good old k500. i called the info line thingy and it said the euro bolt on is free till september so i can get texts and stuff cheaper abroad. if i put a fiver on the sim will it all be set ( i know my phone will work abroad and all that) or do i have to tell 02 or something?

i rang up and they said it was free till sep 30th 06. im well confused. i signed up to my europe and euro bolt on both free. i hope it will work in turkey lol

dude_se - you should email/call o2 before you head out to turkey to make sure that its included in the euro bolt-on. I have a feeling its not, I had a wee look round the o2 site but couldn't come up with anything.
Also you sim should work straight off but while your on the phone/email just ask them to make sure its activated. I had to get them to activate my contact sim but that was a couple of years back, and then in january this year i realised that i wasn't to to make call within the forgien country, only back to the UK, but now they have activated this service for me.

PAYG sims do not need to be roaming enabled as the come preactivated, also the euro bolt on isnt free, its £1.99 per month, they have a new roaming promo called my Europe which I dont know the ins and outs of but basically you can call for 35p p/m probablyin most of europe! |

Turkey is not included in the my europe promo  mostly eastern block countries lol |

Ring 2266 for free to sign up to my europe which is free until september. Flat rate payg calls of 35p a min! Check list of europe countries at o2 site, my europe (not sure of exact link-ring number for link). Hope that helps!
