when i activate the heartbeat tone as a ringtone, it never works, and so when my fone rings it does a dodgy tone...
how do i fix this

arin, some versions of firmware (including mine) have a problem where i-melodies which contain no actual sounds (like the heartbeat) can't be used as the ringtone. In the case of heartbeat, it really isn't suited as a ringtone anyway because it's hardly noticeable. It's more of a novelty...
Btw, which version of the firmware do you have? I'm trying to figure out which versions suffer from this bug.

If you have a short note in the beginning of the ringtone it'll work on fones with this bug.

Try upgrading your software version to newer....should work out nicely on R2E onwards but since the R5D is out...might as well upgrade to that...plus u dun loose anything on the upgrade to R5d cept for sms messages stored on phone......

If you add a tone for each heart beat it will work as a ring tone. You know like a hospital heart sensor, bip, bip, bip...
