Anyone hade this happened to ther sony w810:

Started to transfer a couple of mp3 albums to the memorycard and all went well, I shut down the PC and removed the USB cable from the phone.

Now it just flashes white and black ( the screen) end nothing else happens.

I calles sonysupport and they said to remove the battery and the memcard, still does the same thing

And they told my to try to flash the firmware to it again so when I try to flash it using sonys program it stops at the verry last moment and says that it could not flash the phone..

Any tips from the forum ??

If I knew that itwould work I would do it, but what if the same thing happens when I flash with wotan.

I don't like the ide of sending my new phone to the service center and wait for 2 weeks...

Anyone hade this problem and know how to fix it?

Thanks wotanserver your soft did the trick.

So if anyone find thid post searching how to fix a w810 with the blinking WSOD then ju really should try wotanserver since it's the cheapest on to.

Fact on the broken phone:

1. This could happen to anyone since it did WSOD on me just from a mp3 file transfer

2. the screen was blinking white

3. Sony update software only could reach 95% of flashing then fail

@JJ!

You meen the systray thing where you can remove safe? In that case no, and you should't have to since the disc2phone app says that it's ok to remove the cable....
