Problem with W800's body |

The area which I have marked shows that the offwhite area is raised a bit from the orange part as compared to the rest of the body. Now if I press it, it actually goes down and if you apply a little pressure you hear a lot of creaking. Also when I open the camera and the light flashes from the button it also comes out from that area.
Nothing too much to worry about, but it really does a lot of creaking. |

looks like the case has a slight imperfection. You might be able to get it repaired under warranty - I don't see why not since it's a point of ingress for environmental moisture and dust.
You could also replace it yourself using the replacement guide at
se-nse.com. Probably only needs the front cover replaced.

You could also try removing it, warming it and straightening out the
deflection. This trick worked well on a colleague's w800.
