Reverse software instalation ? |

the more you look the more you see that people (in general) are installing the latest !? software to rectify general gripes with the running of the T68 ot T68i, to which the general consensus seems to be that the new software makes even less sense practically than that of the original.
losing games, battery life, menu's, etc all change
then you await the next flash...... to get even more worms
it goes from bad to worse.....
so one thing not asked often is .... can i stick my original software back into the phone and where ?
giving the option to 'test' the software and re-set if unsatisfactory....
is there any flash files on the net to do such a thing with a data cable? or is it back to the engineer who only uses the flash given to him and the latest vairiant or can you change it back ?
curious to see the performance of a T68i running the 1st generation T68 software

Buy a Nokia.
You can do what ever you want in DCT3 phones (51xx, 61xx, 62xx, 33xx, 82xx). You can reverse engineered the software or change the menu structure and even change the icons you want. (I have damaged one phone you can try if you want ) |

i agree with what you are saying , with anything can be installed to the unit.
i also agree with the nokia scene too, but nokia flashes are so easy to get and if you cant get them off the net a mate always has them to hand, as is the cables, i think its a marketing ploy of nokia to make such things attainable, give so many personalisation features, then charge....
they sell the units regardless of joe public getting icons, ringtones etc from premium sites, the unit may of been locked to a provider but for £7 it can be unleashed to all and multi sim'd
ericsson seems to have kept all this to their hearts, showing you what the phone can do, but it'll cost....
but we accept it as well ??????
sony marketing structure again,
play station : chip it and get cheap games (nokia theory)
Play station 2: allow it to play your old games as you will want to get rid of the old system for the new, but they are all copies so you either have to bin them, run 2 systems or 'wait for proper software on chip' (sony-erics theory) (T68 especially)
you can have whatever Sony-Ericsson let you have
