Anyone else wishing SE would start its own "N-series"-like lineup of phones? SE already has the Walkman lineup, and now Cyber-shot, but don't we also want the best of both (or more) worlds (music, imaging, connectivity, etc.)?

Hold on..... The N series hand sets handle music no better than the K750i / K800i etc... The camera on these phones beat the N hands down and batter life is better on the S/e models... what exactly do you want?

As in an all-in-one device.

Well, as a basic PDA phone music devise with a camera, then I suppose the N series has a small lead over the K series, but seeing as they cost almost as much as a P series and are in some cases bulkier, then Sony ericsson have that market sorted! Now, a K series with a larger screen would be nice

One thing that SE could do is what Nokia have done with their N series phones and Yahoo and their YahooGo service which is proper push e-mail with no complicated set up procedures just download the software log in with username and password and it all works. This service and the constant delays to P990i plus SE releaseing phones that need firmware upgrades staright out the box is what has forced me to the dark side that is Nokia and the PC suite also works so fast in comparision to SE's and i never thought i would own a Nokia again never mind praise them.

I can see that this is all about 'video' really.
I think having the Cyber-Shot and Walkman series' is great, but the Nokia N series doesn't actually show anything special apart from its 'video' abilities. I actually don't greatly care that much for video, although I do like to have some sort of video ability on a phone. Compared to the latest Sony Ericsson K, W and P series and even individual phones within each series, the N series has nothing but video.

wifi is a big plus on the n80, only reason I din't go for the k800 (plus the minisd is far cheaper).

Well if SE would push UIQ into the mainstream that would be nice.
I don't want a signature anymore. |

@mustafabay:
It's not ready yet. There isn't a single smartphone OS that's ready for the mainstream yet - S60, UIQ, WM5, they're all too slow, too buggy and have too high resource demands. Maybe in a year they'll be mature enough and phone hardware will have caught up. |

ok all you SE to the death,listen here,i like both brands,the N series from nokia has ALMOST all a person could want,while SE has market segmentation,what do SE expect? i should buy 3 phones from them to have all? in that case i rather buy 1!! nokia that has almost everything.SE should make a series of phone just like nokia that is packed with everything.And no! don't tell me P990,p990 up and down,it hasn't been released yet! and already it has an outdated camera.And NO the K series camera doesn't beat the nokia n93 camera,only in complete darkness (because of the xenon flash on K800) otherwise the N93 camera beats the k800,just read the goddamn review on www.mobile-review.com .I saw in many posts something like "Video isn't important to me",yes probably you don't care about video but other people do and at that chapter SE sucks big time.CYBER SHOT phone and QCIF resolution,almost the weakest resolutiion available.For those who will reply:" it is a camera phone not a handycam phone",this is a stupid answer,it has a camera right? why couldn't SE put at least CIF ?? Your average Sony Cibershot camera can shoot at 640x480 so why couldn't the CYBER Shot phone have the same video capabilities??? this is just stupid.so when SE will have a phone that has all in 1,not "market segmentation" then probably i will be a SE to the death fan!
