So,..if someone wants a Bluespoon where the lights (LEDS) dont flash too much,..this would be the choice
Model : PANTHER
Color : silkmatt black all over.
Can be ordered now,..available in week 46.
Might wanna call it the discrete office-model, hehe.
I'll put up a picture later in the day

I think the Panther BS looks so cool!!! If only it hadn't had it,s led's removed that would have made it the "absolute perfect" product for me!!! |

From another post Jan made the LED's are still there just muted, so they are more discreet.
This is definitely the most interesting Bluespoon yet, and I will look into acquiring one if/when it gets to the US or gets into Expansys system for ordering.

Very nice, this is the one for me!
Jan, I'll be going to Comdex and have read that BS (and maybe even you) will be there. I've read your info about US availability and am trying to decide whether I should order from Expansys or wait. Any news about whether it might be available from retailers here by Comdex? My guess is no...

jnonhoffzieg > I hope to be at the Comdex,...we will of course have some samples with us,..but as of now, I dont know if they will be up for sale,..they might
We hope to have some US-dealership-info, before actually going to the Comdex.
I'll be off to visit my family in Seattle on the 5th of November,..and will stay some 3 months,..if not forever, hehe.
I'm actually trying to find out about a job-possibility in the US.
And no,..it wouldnt have to be a "fancy job" hehe,..just a job
(I will still be assigned to Nextlink as their designer, although being in the US). My Nextlink-design-job is unfortunately only freelance.
----------------------
About the LEDS on the Panther,..they are very muted,..the flashing is very discrete.

Thanks for the info, Jan, I think I will probably wait and check them out at Comdex. Maybe I'll even be able to find out more information by then about the rumored "jawbone" BS. Last I heard you didn't have any kind of release date for that, right? Sounds good, though.
Let me know if you need to find out anything regarding your move to the US. My wife is an "immigrant", hehe, from Germany, and I've also hired a few foreign employees on H1-B technical-skills visas. Would be happy to answer any questions you might have. I'm also currently working freelance...

JEFF > Your welcome
No,.theres still no releasedate for the Jawbone-Bluespoon, but its being worked on.
I did test it at a simulated football-game (a LOT of noise),..and the sound in both ends were crystal-clear,..theres absolutely no background-noise at all,..very impressive system.
So what do You do,..since going to the Comdex ?
Thanks regarding the "moving-thing" Appreciate it !
Might get back to you on that subject.
One very good reason for me to be at the Comdex, would be to get "in touch" with the companies,...these shows are clearly a great way to do this.
The job I'm looking for is not necessarily the "dream-job",...I basically just wanna do something,..of course it would be great if it had some connection to cell-phones, pc's, pda's, notebooks, graphics, design,...but it wouldnt have to in the first place.
Usability and user-interface are some of my main issues when doing design,..would be nice to work with this in some way.
Guess it would be something like "development/implementation" in e.g. new programs and so on.
I'm also a freehand-artist,..did think about gaming-companies, like e.g. EA-sports, Microsoft and their likes,...would love to do skeches, images, roughs, ideas for games Would be a nice mix of pc and freehand-drawing.
Of course designing will always be no.1,..coming up with new ideas/concepts and following it from the start up, to the end/comsumer-product.
Why I want a job in the US,..well, unfortunately theres not much to do here in DK, to be more accurate : NOTHING to do
and I'm getting pretty tired of "spending" all my money on very high taxes (income, cars + fuel, food),..simply want to get away and try something else.
Another thing is that my entire family lives in Seattle.
My sister is an american citizen,..and according to law she could get me a permit,...but due to all the people that wanna go to the US,..the waiting/immigration-period is some 4-5 years for brothers/sisters !!
Normally it would be some 5-12 months
So I either get a job or get married, hehe....if I wanna stay.
I lived in Australia for some years,..liked it,..and I believe that I'll like the US just as much,..more likely even more
Regards

That Panther sure sounds/looks great. Will Expansys have it or where will it be sold first. Didn't know that the other BS had so much LEDs. I'm not sure if I want the regular design anymore when hearing that. How about the all blue one that Expansys is selling. Does it have bright LEDs??
Jan, Seattle is the city to move to. Moving there myself next summer as there are just as few jobs here in Hawaii as there are in Scandinavia. Not really as high taxes though!

Jan, I spent a couple of weeks in Copenhagen once - wonderful city and people as well. Seattle is great, just don't expect better weather there!
If you're looking for a job in the industries you mentioned, a good company to get in touch with is Aquent. I've worked with them - they have a large portfolio of companies and a location in Seattle. They can also help with work visa issues.
I was working for a company building e-commerce and business communications apps, but like you I'm currently working on projects freelance. As you said, Comdex is a great place to make all kinds of contacts.
Best of luck with your efforts, the INS can be hell to deal with!

Expansys will have the Panther.
All Bluespoons have the same sort/number of LEDS,..some are just a bit brighter than others,..it only depends on the surface, just how transparent/see-through it is
The Bluespoons with the blue color (original and special edition) flash brighter than the black one,..simply due to the black color.
I personally dont think they flash that much,..but some like one thing, others like another
My brother in law is Hawaiian
He and my sister lived just north of Honolulu for about 6 years,..last year they moved to the Seattle-area.

Yeah, some parts of Copenhagen is nice,..others not so nice,..but of course its always like that with a bigger city.
Hehe,..Seattles weather is actually good,..it hasnt been raining for some 1-2 months now,..its about the same as DK,..expect Seattle is usually a bit warmer.
Thanks a lot,..I'll be looking into this Aquent Appreciate it !!
Really want some contacts.
Government, politics, and so on, are always hell to deal with, hehe,...I'm pretty much used to that here in DK If you lived here, nothing will ever scare you anymore
Yes,..I really would love to be at the Comdex,..would like to see Vegas as well !
Thanks again,..I'm sure I need the luck-part too
Regards

Look back at the huge earlier BS thread... there are some pics in there of the BS on Jan's ear (well it's a prototype, but still).
Also if you download the shootout article at nextlink's website (www.nextlink.to) they show the final product in someone's ear. |
