if you want to try nokia then probably something from the n series, like N80 (if you can bear with no autofocus),N90(if you want symbian os and a lot of other features, but the camera has only 2 mp),n91(music phone, only 2 mp) or n93 (the best)
W800i...V3...N93(YES I HAVE IT)

Id say get the K800. You may not be keen but it is almost like a W800 update considering it has the W800 Walkman Player on it along with flight mode etc.

What kind of budget you have? If its high, wait for the N93, its going to blow both SE and Samsung away!
But on the current ones, N90 seems like the most reasonable deal. N70 isnt special in any sence of the way, N71 is a N70 in slider, N80 has way too many issues(software bugs) and N91 is music oriented, but you have a W800 dont you?
N90 is an all in one phone with brilliant video, superb screen, decent camera, good audio quality, reasonably responsive Symbian.

the n93 is a generally good all rounder with a very good 3.2 megapixel camera but in comparison to the w800 you might as well carry your laptop and a camera around in your pocket

Good to know you're not considering the K800.

N93 is a powerhouse, it has everything imaginable. Huge screen. EDGE, 3G, WiFi, IrDA, Bluetooth 2.0, HTML Browser.
It comes with a 3.2 MP camera, Auto Focus, OPTICAL ZOOM(take that k800!), video quality never seen before VGA at 30 FPS.
UpNp technology which allows you to watch TV(i think). TV output, when the screen isnt enough. Video calling and an updated symbian.

Hard to imagine anyone with a big budget not getting a N93

Just wait a little longer until the almighty P990 comes out. You don't want to switch teams.

You need to think about what type of phone you want. Theres no point comparing the N93 to a K800, they're just not the same. Most decent Nokias these days are smart phones, so they simply outclass s in the comparisons people make, but thats what you'd expect. If he doesnt want a smart phone then other phones from Samsung, LG, and Moto may be a good choice, but if you want a smart phone the size of a house brick then look at them instead of regular phones.

Chocolate? They have some new phones coming into the market. I am trying to come in here with an open mind. Personally I would never have an LG and I am very biased towards . I have tried many other brands (such as Nokia, Samsung, Sharp, Motorola) and they just dont do it for me.
